exeter university society history
The Exeter University Capoeira Society was created in May, 2017, by Ali and the first committee with the idea to make it easier for students to be part of the local capoeira community. This was done through increasing awareness across both campus sites and providing more localised training for the Streatham Campus.
In September 2017, for the first time, we had a stand at both the St. Luke's Campus and Streatham Campus Freshers Fairs where we gained seven new members. That doesn't seem like a lot, especially compared to the memberships machines by the side of us, but it was a good start!
Well, we have completed our first full year for the capoeira society with lots of successes. Looking forward to taking it further next year!
