Excited to have a visit from Contra Mestre Bob of Filhos de Angola Bristol this coming Tuesday to teach at our Tuesday session at St Luke's. Roll on Tuesday! The January Handstand Challenge involves doing a handstand every day in the month of January - minimum! Here are some who got involved. The first session after Christmas is always hard - bouncing around thinking i should have spent more time stretching and less time eating! Never mind, a rest is good for the soul and time for contemplation.
Some new ideas are being floated around and talk of closer support for our friend's charity in Rio. Looking forward to the days getting longer again! We started back in December 2011 organising a monthly roda to fill a gap as all the local groups seemed just to train. We called it 'Country Ritual' after a regular roda organised in London by a friend and set up the website www.countryritual.com to support it. In March 2015 we formed the group Capoeira Libertação Exeter to help us train for the roda. As we became more of a group than just organising a roda, we decided it was time to turn the tables around and create a new website and so www.capoeiralibertacao.org was born. We still organise rodas but we are now much more than that! Our old logo
